e-assignment 3 part 1 - I choose haiku

Falling, free falling
Birds fly high over head
Crying you are dead

New born angel

This blackest among black days I lost my muse
she became another victim of domestic abuse.
finally she couldn´t stand
another hard touch from his cold hand.
´cause playing with other people´s lives
is like making them walk on red-heated knives.
So therefore, when I call your name in vain
all that greets me is even more merciless pain.
´cause all that lingers in the silence
is the memory of meaningless violence.
I might be standing here and cry,
but I know now you´re flying high.

e-assignment 3 part 3 - writing a limerick

I´ve reached the place called Hell
I guessed by the awful smell
Now what will I do
Glancing one, glancing two
It´s nothing for me I can tell

E-assignment 3 part 2 - free choice poem

Life singing off key

So many years have passed since I first learned your name
And since that moment my life´s not been the same
You took me on a trip showing things I never knew
And I felt like I was flying every seconds I was with you.
But now I look into your eyes and see a man I never knew
And can´t help but thinking that your eyes aren´t even blue
My heart and soul is filled with sorrow
So if you need some you´re more than welcome to borrow
´cause tears might soften minds that are pained
By the memory of a love that was stained

Alone with my demons the chill cuts through my bone
Evil´s laughing hard at me from it´s dark and twisted throne.
The pain is here to stay
My core forever altered
But I try to block the things you say
It´s because of you I´ve faltered
Now I´m sitting on my bed
My body violently shaking with fear
Slowly bowing my head
Waiting for my soul to disappear.

In vain my heart keeps on beating,
trying to find a salvation
For a soul I´m not sure is worth saving.
The dark might be my true and final destination
It calls to me whispering it is waiting
It seems to me I´ve been sold
So I bow my head and do as I´m told
Because if you’re right
Then I´m clearly not worth the fight

e-assignment 2 part 3

Part 3)

E- “Charlie!! Control yourself!”

C-“Edward...I...”

E-“I know you don’t want anything bad to happen, but you can’t hide your thoughts and desires from me to read and therefore I know what you want in your heart. And Jane and I don’t think that Sarah’s ready for that, she’s too young. I also know how hard it is to control ones needs when you feel that strong about someone and you are still so young yourself. It’s just too easy to let things go to far, even by mistake.”

C- “Edward, what I wish to do, and what I do, are two very different things. I know right now you must feel as if you wish to yell at me, or throw me through a window or something.”

E- (murmurs) “It’s tempting…”

C-“I don’t know what I would find if I went into your head right now, yet by being nothing but civil with me, you exercise none of it. Still… I understand, I think…your caution towards me. Your reason to not leave something like that particularly to chance, or to my tenacity… The last thing I want is for Sarah to be compromised like that…or in any other way. Perhaps…maybe it’s my pride. Cause I thought, if you could control yourself…then why can’t I do the same?”

E-“You know that’s not the same thing, Charlie!”

J-“How dare you? When was there ever a time when I or Edward have risked Sarah like this? Tell me!! And the problem is that you are taking things too far with Sarah! Planning this…this…thing.”

C-“Call it what you like, Jane McAndrew! We both know it wouldn’t matter if she was 19, it all boils down to you not being ready to see Ness growing up!!”

E-“ Enough!! I’ve had it with your attitude! You REALLY don’t understand us? Sarah IS growing up to fast! You’re just fooled by the way she looks, but in actual age she’s just a kid, our little daughter and she’s not ready for this. No matter what she thinks she feel about you...”

(glares at Charlie)

E-“I can’t believe that you for a second think that we’re going to tolerate this kind of behaviour from you. The way you disrespect our wishes as Sarah’s parents. I know you don’t want anything bad to happen to her, but...” (sighs) “What if it were your daughter? You’re supposed to be more mature than this…this childlike…Oh, take some responsibility for your actions! ”

C- “Why do I have to suffer for passed differences….??? Or am I just not good enough? Is that it??”

E- “Charlie, you need to leave…NOW! You are no longer welcome here.” (closes eye taking a deep breath before opening them again) “Charlie, please…just leave! My family needs some time to think… understand??”

J-“Please Charlie, just leave…”

C-“Ok, I’ll go! But don’t you for a second think that this matter is settled in any way!” (murmurs while leaving) “I’ll find a way…”

e-assignment 2 part 2

Part 2)

There’s no one around me as I stand by the window in a small cottage room, watching the last light of day die behind the green trees. I’m finally home again. Suddenly I hear a sound that almost breaks my heart.

-“Jake?” (hesitating) “Jake? JAKE!!!!! You’re back!!! I’ve …missed you…so…much…” (kissing me) ” Where HAVE you been?? (lecturing) That trip wasn’t supposed to last more than a week…I’ve been so worried! And you look like you’ve been visiting Hell itself...”

-“I love you.” (swallows) “I need you so much.”

-“Oh, Jake. I love you so much too…”

- “I love you more than my life, Sophie. I…” (hesitates, pulling back)

- (sighing) “I still can’t trust that you are home.” (frustrated) It was driving me crazy, not hearing your voice, just getting text messages.”

(pause)

-“Jake?” (softer) What is it, honey? I can see that you’re haunted by something. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”

-“I…”

She sighs, relieved that I finally respond in some way.

-“Please, Jake… I can’t take seeing you this way.”

-“I don’t know where to begin. I…”

-“Did something bad happen?”(worried)

-“Yes.” (whispering with broken voice) “Do you know what Pete’s line of work is?”

- (hesitating) “No…”

-“Well, he’s not only a mechanic, he also tell people whatever’s most painful to them and make sure they understand it will be the absolute truth if they don’t do as told.”

- (gasping) Did he do that to you?” (chocked) “Why would he..?”

-“He wanted me to be more motivated to do his bids. He’s deceived us all.” (hollow) “He wants me to work for him and together they tried to use you and Jess, to get to me.”

-“Jess? Why? (frightened)

-“Pete’s the one sending the text messages to you, not me. I’ve been….” (hesitating)

-“I was locked up back in the garage, with Kip and Steve guarding me, assuring my safe keeping.”

-“And they...” (Sophie swallows loudly) “…did they hurt you?”

I cringe at the memory.

-“Baby, you’re safe now. They can’t hurt you anymore.” (Calm, comforting)

-“They will try. And what I did….” (words failing)

-“What did you do? (concerned) I know you and you can’t have done anything that bad.”

- (bitterness) “If you knew….”

-“So tell me.”

- (sighing) “They told me what was to be expected if I didn’t collaborated. I tried to warn you too…” (pause)

-“I was in the cell for many days, how many I don’t know, with almost no food or water. The thirst was driving me mad, just as they figured it would. They were trying to break me down.” (humourless laughing)

-“What happened?” (whispering)

-“There was this girl. A little girl, Sophie.” (tensing) “They made a statement out of her. Steve cut her in the arm, a cut for every grand her father owed Pete, making clear that they would do something like that to Jess if I refused to help them.” (wincing) “To our daughter, Soph... And she was right in front of me, all covered in blood, screaming. And Pete made her beg me to kill her.“ (groaning) “She was just a girl, Sophie, younger than Jess. And she was so afraid.”

- “I…can’t imagine the pain it must have caused you…I’m sorry, Jake.

-“Don’t feel sorry for me. I don’t deserve that. (spitting the words out) ”You don’t know what happened.”

- (softly) “What did you do?”

- “I killed her.” (turn away, disgusted) I took the knife from Steve and cut her throat as I knew that she would suffer even more if I didn’t.”

- “I… I’m trying to find the right thing to say.”

- “You don’t have to say anything at all. I know what I did, what I became.”

- (Comforting)”Jake, look at me. You killed her, but just to save her from even more pain. It wasn’t your fault. That doesn’t mean that you’re bad in any way.

-“It does. I killed her and that makes me a monster. I might just as well have fed on her blood, right there in front of them.” (closes eyes) “I know what I am now. So you don’t have to pretend, to be brave any more, just stop, before you tear me all apart.”

- “Jake. Look at me.” (aggressively) “I said, look at me.”

I open my eyes and look at her.

_”I know the real you and you’re NOT a bad man, in ANY way.” We will fix this, together.” (firm) “I will NOT let you bear this alone, you hear?”

(Kisses me again)

-“I love you. No matter what, I love ALL of you.”

E-assignment 2 part 1

Part 1) You're waiting at a bus stop in your home town. A well-mannered and well-spoken male tourist stops by and asks you for directions to places he says he's been told to visit during his stay. You offer to help him, but as the conversation continues you find yourself overwhelmed by a growing sense of unease.

-Excuse me, miss. ( a pleasant voice behind me) Excuse me.

-Yes? (I turn around to see a well-dressed man smiling at me) Can I help you with something, sir?

- I am truly sorry for disturbing you like this. (apologizing)

-Oh, don´t worry, it´s no problem.

-I´m just visiting this sweet, romantic little town for a few days and a friend of mine recommended a couple of great places to visit during my stay. But I can´t seem to find them, despite my map. (holds up a small, worn map)

-May I? (I hold out my hand)

-Of course.

-Let´s see… (one glance on the map) Oh, I´m sorry but you must have gotten the wrong map, sir.

-No, have I? (worried) Are you sure?

-Well. See here… (points at the map) These markings only shows abandoned houses and empty fields. There´s nothing there to see anymore.

- Yes, yes that´s right. (his eyes starts to glisten) That´s the places I´m looking for.

-Well... even if there once was something beautiful there, it´s long gone by now.

-(murmurs) I´m sure there´s something to see there…(looks at me) This map marks the sites where notorious cruel crimes were committed. (smiles) Have you been there yourself?

- Eh…or, I haven´t, sir. (hesitating) I don’t quite like the idea of seeing crime scenes (apologizing a bit) But I´m sure many people find it interesting.

- Oh, you´d be surprised, young lady, if you knew. (he narrows his eyes) Have you really never been at one of these places? (taps with fingers on map) Or been curious about what happened there? Surely you must have?

- I´m sorry, sir but I really haven´t. (starting to get impatient)

(He takes a step closer, lowering head, widening eyes)

-Then you MUST see one of these with your own eyes. (low, intense voice) You see, when you stand there, on the very ground where a murder once took place, you can still feel the presence of pure evil lingering. It´s like you can hear the screams echoing and the taste of blood flavoring the air…

-Sir? (a bit disgusted) Sir? I really have to go… (I take a step back)

-It´s amazing! (he grabs my arm) If you only could…you must…

(I yank my arm free and takes a few steps back)

-I´m….I´m sorry, sir but I can´t help you…I have to go! (walks backwards, eyes fixed on the man)

-No! Please come with me! I´ll show you how great it can be… (he takes a step forward stretching out his arm for me) You´ll never forget at thing like that, ever. I promise!

(I turn around and run)
